You won't want to miss the annual Montclair Jazz and Wine Festival being help tomorrow Sunday the 13th in here in Oakland.  The festival has actvities for the whole family and featured wines from the Russian River Valley, Napa and other nearby areas!  Hey East Bay - We are so luck to live here!  Make sure and take advantage of this local opportunity:)

Montclair Jazz & Wine Festival, Sunday, September 13, 11 am-6 pm: This year's event features Jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti, Swingin' vocalist Kitty Margolis; Wayne Wallis Latin Jazz Quarter, Middle East Meets West Mo' Rockn' Project, and Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra. Wine tasting, arts & crafts, wellness/eco village, kids' town. New this year-- a raffle with TWO GRAND PRIZES of two tickets on jetBlue, along with  25 additional prizes from regional and Village merchants. 50% of the proceeds support the Oakland Fund for the Arts, which raises money for hands-on arts education programs in under-served Oakland public schools.  Sue Piper and I will be hosting office hours there, as well. The Montclair Safety and Improvement Council will be collecting donations for the family of Officer Murray Hoyle who worked in the Montclair area for many years.
